Westward Expansion Presentation



Body Language:
Did you stand up straight but stay relaxed?
Yes, I was very relaxed. I could of not moved around so much.

Did you pause for a moment before you began your speech?
Yes, I waited for everyone to quit down. Then I started my presentation.

Did you look at your audience?
Yes, I kept really good eye contact with the whole audience. I think I could of used my body more.
Did you let your facial expressions naturally reflect what you were saying?

Not really. I changed my voice if I was talking about something exciting or change my voice if something was weird. I didn't use much facial expression though.

Did you use your hands?
I did not use my hand once. I stood in one spot talking with my hands in my pocket. I should of used my hand way more.

Voice:
Did you speak loudly enough so that everyone could hear you?
Yes. I spoke very loudly. I believe everyone was able to hear what I said.

Did you change your tone to show how you felt (upset, excited) about an idea or to emphasize a point?
Yes. I made my voice more cheerful when I was talking about something interesting. I also made my voice sound really sad when I talked about sad things.

Was your speed of delivery too fast, too slow or just right?
I thought that I spoke at a really good speed. It was perfect enough that I wasn't being so boring. I was also good enough that I didn't speak so fast that no one could understand a word I said.

General Info:
Did you practice your speech at home before giving it?
Yes, I practiced a lot of my speech at my house. I thought that it was very clear that I did so.

What did you notice that you did well in your speech?
I thought that I did a really good job getting out information to my audience. I spoke at a good speed so that people could understand me.
Describe one aspect of public speaking you will work to improve?
I noticed that there were some places that I could of improved. Like using my hands. I could have done that better.
