On June 5, 2009, the Cascade Conference Track and Field Finals took place on Woosley Field. Kings' home field. At a scorching 86 degrees, it couldn't of been any hotter. The conditions were amazing. I had only one event to take place in the Finals. The 4-by-2-relays. It is and event where you have four people running a distance of 200 meters. After you run your 200 meters, you hand a baton to the next runner. I was super nervous that day because the 4 by 2 was my only event in the Finals and I really wanted to be 1st place. My team consists of Andrew Holt, Sam Turpin and Connor McCauley. Andrew always runs the first leg. I run the second leg. Sam usually runs the third leg. Then Connor always runs the anchor position. During the finals race, our team was amazing. Everyone ran with a lot of heart and desire to win. We won! It was one of my favorite feelings in my life. It was priceless. I got to stand on the podium at the top with Sam. I was so proud of my team! Everyone ran their hearts out.

Trashketball
Today, we played trashketball. It was one of the most amazing, intense and super-duper game in trashketball history. The game was really intense. In the very beginning my team got probation because I was talking. That sucked because we could not answer the first three questions, which we all knew what the answer was. Anyways, we got off probation, thankfully, and we were in the game. Through the whole game it seemed like one team was in the lead the whole time. One of the music trivia was a Whitney Houston song. Isaac thought that the song was by Paula Abdul. We were totally wrong. A lot of other groups tried guessing who the singer was. No one got it right. Anyways, Group #3 was doing really good because Jack hit the trash can, then rolled a high number. Then he hit the trash can again to get a really good score. Our team, Group 5, got a question right, and I wanted to throw the ball, so my team let me. I thought that I had to make it up to my team because I got my team a probation, so I really wanted to get points up. Of course I hit the trash can, which I've never done, then I rolled the die and got one. That sucked. I had to hit it again. I did! I was really happy. At the end, our team went into the final round in a three way tie for last place. When our team was up to throw, Group 1 was in the lead. Ellie went up to throw, (dramatic pause), then she threw the ball and it hit the trash can! We were tied for 1st. The last team to throw couldn't hit or sink the ball into the trash can. It was a sudden death to determine the winner. After maybe 10 minnutes of Group 1 and my Group throwing, no one could hit the can. It was an epic game, as Kellen would say.

Intimate Poem
Dear Maia,
Do you remember when we would laugh
at the funny faces I would make?
Just like the time I would squish up my face
to make me look like an old person?
Or when you tried to make a funny face yourself?
That was the shiz.
Or the time I got hurt
and Hayden pretended to feed me
like an infant (breast feeding)?
Ahhhh, Those were the times.

Sorry poem
I'm sorry for being so beautiful
I really feel bad,
for those who are not gifted by god
to look so beautiful
I know you think,
that I am as good looking as a sunrising
in an Urban city
just to let you know,
I have no face
That might be a problem,
I guess we can just imagine...
